JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA®

We go through our whole lives laughing and smiling and looking to have fun. However, an unfortunate side effect of our pursuit of happiness are the wrinkles, crow’s feet and sagging skin that comes from too much emoting.

No one wants to go through their lives without smiling, so JUVÉDERM®, one of the world’s leading facial injectable makers, has created VOLUMA®. VOLUMA® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that restores your skin’s youthful vigor without the use of surgery of painful chemicals.

Dr. Lee is happy to provide VOLUMA® to all her patients in the Little Rock, AR area and encourages them to smile and laugh as much as they can.

What is VOLUMA®?

VOLUMA® is a dermal filler that is specially made to restore the skin in the cheeks and around the chin. It does this by restoring hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring enzyme in your skin which is responsible for your youthful look. VOLUMA®’s HA formula retains water and acts like a sponge to fill in wrinkles, sunken skin and age lines.

VOLUMA® also contains a healthy amount of collagen, which provides bounce and gives your skin a healthy glow. Because VOLUMA® is made of natural ingredients that complement what your body is already making, it is an FDA approved, safe alternative to surgeries and invasive procedures.

Who Should Use VOLUMA®?

VOLUMA® is safe and effective for all skin types and colors. Patients get the best results when they are using the filler in their face, usually the cheeks and chin. Results are seen almost immediately and can continue for the better part of an entire year. Follow up appointments are recommended to maintain the volumized look.

What’s the VOLUMA® Procedure Like?

As with all dermal fillers, the process starts by having the solution directly injected into the problem areas. Dr. Lee knows that a primary concern with patients is the pain of the injection, but with the use of topical numbing cream and Lidocaine all patients feel is a slight prick and some pressure. Procedure times vary based on how many areas are being treated, but most are completed in an hour.

Results can be seen immediately or within a few days. Following the procedure, there may be some swelling, redness, tenderness, or pain, but these side effects are minor and should subside in less than a week’s time.
