In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the offices of Dr. Gene Sloan and Doctors MedSpa will be closed until April 6th, 2020. This closure may need to be extended depending on progress made towards containing the virus.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, The American College of Surgeons, the US Surgeon General and other government agencies have strongly recommended that all elective surgeries, non-essential medical, surgical, and dental procedures be delayed during the COVID-19 outbreak. This moratorium includes cosmetic medical treatments such as Botox, fillers, and laser treatments. There are 2 reasons for this.
• First, we as physicians must be most stringent about social distancing to reduce or eliminate the risk of human to human transmission of the virus in our offices.
• Second, medical offices providing elective services must do their part to conserve the nation’s limited supply of masks, gowns, and gloves so that they are available to the hospitals and healthcare providers on the front lines of this battle.
Our telephones will still be answered. Urgent postoperative patients will still be seen in a safe environment. Virtual consults and postoperative visits are available.
We urge everyone, regardless of age, to do their part by adhering to the CDC’s social distancing and hand hygiene guidelines. Together we can get through this crisis.
Thank you,
Dr. Gene Sloan
